An Easy Banana Bread Recipe

Is it just me, or is Holiday baking more exciting than everyday baking? I get so excited making my favourite baked goods for friends and coworkers during the most wonderful time of the year! I have a handful of favourite recipes which always make an appearance around this time, but the most cherished recipe in my book is my banana bread recipe! 

Banana bread is my go-to baked good for potlucks and gifting because I almost always have the ingredients on hand and it's not super complicated to pull off. You could also slice the cooled bread and wrap it with kraft paper and ribbon as a parting gift. 



The (super easy) recipe: 
WHISK 4 mashed bananas in with 6 TBSP of melted butter, 1/2 CUP of white sugar and 1/2 CUP of brown sugar. Whisk in one egg and 1 TSP of vanilla extract. 
SIFT 1 1/2 CUPS of all-purpose flour in with 1 TSP baking soda and 1/4 TSP salt. 
ADD the dry mixture to the banana mixture until combined. Add 1 CUP of chocolate chips.
POUR into prepared loaf tin and BAKE for 75 minutes. 


It's a good idea to check the banana bread after about 45 minutes in the oven. Mine usually takes the full 75 minutes to bake because I add bananas on top as garnish. After 20 minutes of cooling, remove the bread from the loaf pan and slice with a bread kinfe!



This banana bread didn't last very long, so I'll definitely be making more soon!
