Be Scent-sible!

I've never been much a perfume person. In fact, I used to think it was completely ridiculous to wear perfume. That was until I tried Calvin Klein Euphoria. It's become a huge staple in my beauty closet.
Calvin Klein - euphoria
It's definitely a 'grown-up' scent, which is part of the reason why I love it. Even though I'm only 20, I'm trying to sophisticate myself and wearing  perfume is a pretty big deal for me!

Do you have a favourite scent?

Preppy Scientist Playlist (Number 11)

I'd have to say this playlist is pretty out there. I don't really have a favourite type of music so when I hear a song that I love - it stays on repeat until I become completely sick of it.

I hope you enjoy!

When I Was Your Man - Bruno Mars

Catch My Breath - Kelly Clarkson

Suit and Tie - Justin Timberlake

Entertainment - Phoenix

Spring In

I don't know about you, but I'm longing for Spring. My favourite clothing stores are starting to switch up their displays, the days are slowly becoming longer and I'm growing impatient.

Even if Spring is going to take its sweet time to arrive, I'm still going to shop for my Spring wardrobe.
I can't help it.

Oh I just can't wait for Spring!

Purse of the Moment

I never thought I would ever fall in love with a purse.

 But it happened.

I really love the direction Coach has taken with their purses this season. Gone are the days of bold colourful prints and the basics are back.

The Legacy Collection is outstanding and I need to get my hands on the Medium Candace Caryall in Brass.

I love the shape of this handbag; as it's spacious enough to hold what you need without getting super bulky. I love the tassel detail and of course the colour.

I know many people are pretty apprehensive about Coach - but I personally love this new line.

Do you own any Coach?

Back

After a couple of days away from blogging - I am back (stories to follow). Thanks for hanging in there while I was away. I appreciate you support and understanding.

While I was away, I had the chance to check out Butter London nail polish. Personally, I am not a huge fan of nail polish - but I gave Butter London a try.

From left to right: Cuppa, Fiver, Fruit Machine, Jasper, Kerfuffle, Molly Coddled

The spring collection has 6 fun pastel colours that look great! My personal favourite is Fiver, the mint green shade - which I see myself wearing a lot (or at least attempting to....).

Are you looking forward to a Spring manicure?

PS:Check out more Butter London here

On a Plane

As we speak I am preparing to fly far away to Texas! I am excited and nervous and cannot wait to recount my trip when I return home!

Doing it All

February is always my toughest month. I don't feel 100% into the swing of things - yet there is always something that needs to get done.

I'm guilty of wanting to be the person who gets it all done and keep it all together but it's really hard. The amount of stress that I'm under is really making me start to think that I need to scale back. For example - I forgot to submit an assignment that was due because I was too busy worrying about completing a task in a separate area of my life.

See how this is becoming an issue?

Tough stuff...

I never want to admit that I can't do something, or that I need help - but I think I'm starting to reach a breaking point. I'm starting to realize that I can't do it all - at least not by myself.

Although I love keeping busy to keep my mind off of other things (ahem...boys - specifically my lack of a Valentine)...I digress.

It's time for me to trust in other people more, delegate more, letting go and be open to saying no before I burn out. This is a pretty big step for me and I anticipate it being a hard process.

Breathe

I don't know how I'll be able to just stop being the way that I am, but I definitely know that I need to just stop, breathe, trust and live in this moment.

NYFW

I always look forward to Fashion Week each year. Unfortunately I do not reside in an area that hosts a Fashion Week - so I mainly keep up using various social media sites. So far I am really enjoying the Fall 2013 looks! I suddenly feel the urge to go shopping.

I would have to say that the Kate Spade looks are my ultimate favourite (so far anyway).

Hey It's Okay!

1. To pretend you "didn't get that text"
2. To finish an entire bag of Hershey's Kisses alone
3. To listen to the same sad Taylor Swift song all week
4. To go become Nancy Drew when you can't find your phone
5. To sleep through your alarm
6. To constantly check if a certain someone accepted your Facebook friend request
7. To be overly emotionally invested in a relationship you helped set up
8. To push a door that clearly says pull
9. To wear ballet flats in the snow
10. To have staring contests with your cat

First Position

In an attempt to become more graceful, I've enrolled myself in a beginner ballet class. So far I am pretty terrible, but I am hoping to get better in the coming weeks. Since the classes have started, I've been obsessed with all things ballet. Last week when I had some free time (rare, I know) I sat down and watched First Position.

I was really inspired by each character's drive to be their very best. While I don't wish to be a professional dancer, I really took away a few lessons from First Position.

1. Never give up
2. Take pride in what you do
3. Always be humble

Life Update

I can't believe it's already February!
Have you been keeping up with your resolutions
I've been trying my best and it hasn't been easy. January presented me with a lot of challenges as I made the transition to sorority president and was put into a position where I have to be more social. Naturally this month I would like to work on relationship relationships and so far it's just blown up in my face (queue an ugly cry and really puffy eyes).

the heart wants what it wants

I'm not ready give up just yet - but I'll be heading back to the drawing board. I really need someone who can keep up with my crazy schedule and I also need to try and scale it back a bit. At this point I'm pretty much stuck - but I love a good challenge and I will keep you all posted!

Potential Currently Reading?

I really need something other than a textbook to read! I've been perusing a lot of different book sites and J.K Rowlings newest novel seemed pretty popular!

When Barry Fairbrother dies in his early forties, the town of Pagford is left in shock.
Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty fa├žade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils...Pagford is not what it first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity, and unexpected revelations? A big novel about a small town,The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling''s first novel for adults. It is the work of a storyteller like no other

The book sounds really interesting, but I want some input! Have you read A Casual Vacancy? Did you like it?

With a Bang

This week took it's sweet time to end - and I'm so glad it's over. I'm looking forward to a super relaxing and fun weekend! I'm going to leave you with the song that got me through the week!

Enjoy!
